We are a completely independent local business passionate about happy, healthy animals. Our purpose built, dedicated rehabilitation centre is based in the coastal town of Herne Bay, Kent and we really look forward to meeting you and your four-legged friends!

- If your dog has current or previous issues, veterinary referral is required by law, and it is required for all hydrotherapy appointments. With your consent, we can request it from your vet for you.

60 minutes, £80, with a clear, progressive treatment plan.
The first appointment
What will their first visit feel like?
Calm, unhurried and led by your dog. The initial consultation is 60 minutes and includes:

So progress continues between visits.
A fear free approach
The team use fear free methods in every session, with treats or toys, regular breaks, rewards and praise, so nervous dogs can build confidence at their own pace.

Will I need veterinary referral?
If your dog has current or previous issues, veterinary referral is required by law. Referrals are not required for all healthy, active dogs requiring maintenance / fitness sessions. For all hydrotherapy appointments, referral is required.
Can Ease In Motion contact my vet for me?
Yes. When you register as a new patient, we request referral and medical history from your vet on your behalf. Or you can download the referral form and send it to your vet to complete and return to us. You will be contacted to book in as soon as we have the completed referral.
What happens at the initial consultation?
A 60 minute appointment (£80) with Sarah, our Clinical Director, or our Veterinary Physiotherapist. It includes a full review of clinical and owner history, a thorough musculoskeletal assessment, a neurological examination, gait and static analysis, objective and subjective goal setting, a clear progressive treatment plan including a prescribed exercise programme, an introduction to therapy tailored to findings, and home care advice.
Will my dog enjoy it? What if my dog is nervous?
We work hard at creating a friendly, safe environment for your dogs using the ‘fear-free’ approach. We always encourage treats or toys to be used within the session. We also give the dog regular breaks, rewards and praise. They generally love it, even if they were nervous to start!
Is treatment safe?
All of our therapy and hydrotherapy is safe. We ensure appropriate treatment is provided by taking a thorough history of your dog and meticulous assessment. We also keep up to date with new research to make sure our modalities are optimally utilised and regularly attend CPD courses to refresh our skills.
Is treatment covered by pet insurance?
In general, all treatment is covered by pet insurance providers. Often there is a ‘Complementary Therapies’ pot which covers therapy and hydrotherapy. However, some insurances do not include this, so it is always recommended to check with your provider.
How do I know which treatment to choose?
You do not have to know. Everyone starts with an initial consultation, where a tailored mix of therapies is planned to best suit your dog’s condition.
